Filmhouse Sunderland Postpones Future Screenings

Filmhouse Sunderland Postpones Future Screenings

In light of the latest advice from the Government around Coronavirus (COVID-19) our Filmhouse Sunderland partners, Empire Cinemas have taken the decision to temporarily close its UK sites, including Empire Sunderland.

This means that our forthcoming screenings on 19 March (PARASITE), 26 March (LITTLE JOE) and 2 April (PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE) are postponed.

Filmhouse Sunderland is not going anywhere, but it does mean that sadly we will be taking a short break until we and the film industry are able to celebrate cinema with you once again.

ADVICE ON TICKETING REFUNDS FROM EMPIRE CINEMAS

Customers who have tickets for future screenings will be refunded by Empire Cinemas and purchases will be automatically refunded within 14 working days.

Anyone who has bought their tickets in the cinema can hold on to their tickets for a refund after the end of this period of temporary closure. Please direct any refund queries to Empire Cinemas via their website.

We’ll continue to update you on the resumption of the Filmhouse Sunderland programme as soon as we can via our website and social media channels.

Thank you for your patience through these difficult times, and if you have any questions about future plans for Filmhouse Sunderland please contact us at admin@filmhousesunderland.co.uk.
